Copyrighting

The case study I have read, talks about being able to license samples of artists work, and it basically talks about a court in the US disagreeing with copying other peoples work without a license. As they believe that if you dont have a license, you can't make samples. So now their is a website called sampling license, which in ables people to freely sample, and mash up a sample to create their own version of it.

I personally agree with people being able to copyright because, I think it shows off people's creativity although it isn't their work they can make it into something and it will allow them to show what they have done. This may then be notice by someone who is in the music industry and they may want to sign them on, which will mean that person has got a new career that they love doing.

Influentical Music Videos

1. I Find Beyonce's, latest video '1+1' very influentical, because although the video looks quite simple, as she is just in front of a black background the use of shadows and lighting makes her look brilliant. The shot types and the way the camera is focus on her face, really makes you feel part of what she is singing as you are able to feel her emotions as well because of her facial expressions and the actions she uses. I also find it influentical because as she is singing the video kind of goes with the lyrics and also when u listen to it and watch it, it kind of makes you feel free and you can really reflex on what she is singing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaasJ44O5lI&ob=av2e

2. I also find Ed Sheerman, video 'you need me, i don't need you' influentical, because it is also simple but very well done. I love the way the artist doesn't appear in the video until the end and he is singing but we don't see him. Instead we see a man standing infront of black and white backgrounds doing sign language to what the artist is singing. Which has a really good effect to it because it shows creativity and also adds excitement, becasue you kind of feel ego to learn how he does it so fast and you are also left thinking, is he really doing the sign language to what he is singing?'.

3.  I think Michael Jackson's, video 'heal the world' is very influentical, becasue at first it shows us real footage of children suffering, this shows us reality and that these poor children are actually going throught the pain and suffering. It is all real and happening in the world, and this music video just lets you know how real it is, and with the music and the lyrics of the song it makes you feel for the people suffering across the world and makes you want to donate money to help them, in order to actually heal them.

4. Jason Derulo, 'What if' music video is also influentical becasuse it shows that in life everything is kind of up to fate and it kind of makes you think in life that if you did this, then that might of happened. So this video makes you just think about life in a whole different way and how precisous it really is.

Music Pitch- Now I'm that Chick

When we presented our pitch to the class the feedback that we got, was about the Target audience we chose. We were told that the target audience (15-18years ago) was to narrow and that we limited the amount of people that would listen to it. But the reason why we did this was because we thought that this age group would like it more, then older people, but we will re-consider the age group ad change if, for more people. We were also asked over the summer to think more carefully about our target audience and to also think about the target audience of Livvi Franc our artist, so that we know what kind of age group likes her songs.

We were also told about the possible problems that we may have, as we said what problems could occur, but we needed to actually come up with solutions on how to deal with it. So we decided that in order to get all our actors and actress we came up with the idea of creating a list and get the people that want to be in it to write their names down and we will then use them. Also we wanted to use two boys, so we were going to use one boy outside of school and a boy inside of school.

We were also asked, how we were going to make the girl look different when she goes from a teenager to a mature adult, and we have decided that when she is younger as a teenager we were going to make her look more childish like her hairstyles will look more child like and then when she is more older and mature we are going to put her make up on and her hair will be different to show the difference from teenager to a more mature adult.

From my Mood Board I will like to use the whole colour scheme, so that it looks bright and eye-catching. I would also like use the clothes and dance routines, as the clothes look very nice and the dance routines add entertainment.

MoodBoard

My mood board reflects my music video because, the colours are bright, so I want it to be a RnB video, as they use a lot of exotic places and bright lights, also they use lots of bright coloured clothes. In the music video of Jennifer Lopez, she is mainly in an exotic country, where they is often love and romance. And fun on the beach, with families and friends. Also in her video she usually has nice cars, and the colour and patterns go with the exotic lifestyle.
The colour blue symbolises freshness and freedom, that most people enjoy to have, as when they are in England they feel isolated and normal life, like going to work takes place.
Although I have to be realistic, and understand that in my music video I can't use, an exotic place as the one I have made in my mood board. I would like to use, some aspects like the clothes and dance routines. And the colours.

Evaluation Question 7

In this Frame, the left one is from our Prelim task which is a medium shot of our main character. As we liked the idea of this shot we then went on to use it in the Horror Film which you can see on the right hand side of this frame. I think this shot was good to use because you can see the emotions in the characters faces and then can get the idea as to why they are upset as the one on the right is reading a note.

In this Frame , on the left hand side we put our title on a black background in white letters in order for it to stand out and look more realistic. As this was a good idea to have the black background with the writing we wanted to put this in our film but this time we decided to change the letters in order for it to stand out more and it also symbolise blood and gore especially how it is a horror film.

In this Frame, we used an shot reverse shot also know as a over the shoulder shot for the picture on the left.We liked the idea of this as it shows the expression of the characters. But when it came to our film we made it a little bit better, because in the prelim task we wasn't really thinking about how the shots were.
In this Frame the two images are exactly the same and the reason for this was because we loved the idea of this completely because we liked the idea of the camera following the characters from behind so the audience can get some idea of there body language.

The reason why I think this viewer will be attracted to this film is because they are a typical teenage boy around 18, who is up for a laugh and doesnt sound fearful of anything also it is something they would go and see with there friends. Although our film '100 Days of Misery' contains girls bullying another girl, I think this target audience will enjoy this as it has a great twist which will sent shivers up there spine and also make them kind of laugh. Especially becasue this teenager enjoys other horror films like 'The Crazies, Case-39 etc..' He also enjoys going to the cinema to see all the latest realises on new horror films as he is crazy and loves horr films alot. So I think that he would enjoy going to watch are horror film as it has a fantastic twist to it like this girl turning completely evil and getting revenage on her bullies. Also becasue there would be later on a lot of violence and a lot of blood the viewer will enjoy this because as he is a massive fan of horror which always includes blood and violence a lot it would find it really inteserting and exciting but also a bit nasty. I think he would also enjoy are film because usually in horror film most of the nasty action happens at night, well in our film the viewer should be ready for any type of reverage to also happen in the daylight, as on purpose we have made the reverage happen in daylight to make the viewer scared throughtout the film.
